Dr. Zach Sumrall

~~ - My two month old baby was is pain and crying ALL THE TIME. I felt it was more than just "colic" and a medical professional had told us it could be acid reflux causing the crying. My husband and I were desperately trying to find help when a friend suggested Hill Country Chiropractic. We had a nice consultation with Dr. Sumrall and left feeling hopeful for the first time. The next day, at our baby's first appointment Dr. Sumrall discovered a place in his neck and back that was out of alignment, most likely since birth. Laying on the table that day I could visible see my screaming baby relax and stop crying the moment the problem area was fixed. I was speechless. At home, my husband changed our son's diaper and for the FIRST TIME since birth he didn't scream and cry when placed on his back. My husband said it was like we had a new baby-HAPPY, relaxed and quietly content. We are so thankful for the change we see in our baby and the impact it has on our entire family. Thanks to Hill Country Chiropractic we have a peaceful home again and can focus on the important things like enjoying our family. - Sarah Davis (used with her permission and excitement to share)

"On January 15th, 2012, while running the Houston half-marathon, I began experiencing pain in my left shoulder. After the race I found that I could not raise my arm to the side more than about a 45 degree angle from my body. I let it rest and then in March I visited an orthopedic surgeon. He suspected a rotator cuff tear and x-rayed my shoulder. The x-ray did not reveal any injury; however, the orthopedic surgeon, still suspecting a rotator cuff problem, administered a steroid shot into my shoulder. I did not get any relief. I spent the summer resting the shoulder and in August went to a new orthopedic surgeon who order an MRI of my shoulder. Still, there was no sign of any injury to my shoulder joint. He referred me to a physical therapist who suspected the trouble might be related to C5, C6, and C7 problems in my spine. Through phyiscal therapy I got some releif and movement back, but still I difficulty raising my arm above a 90 degree angle. The phyiscal therapist suggested I might benefit from seeing a chiropractor. He recommended Hill Country Chiropractic and Wellness Center.

On my second visit to the Center both Dr.s Zach and Cori Sumrall met with me to try to figure out the cause of the immobility and pain in my shoulder. After listening to the history of my arm problem, Dr. Cori Sumrall used a mirror image technique that had both my left and right eyes seeing the reflection of my healthy arms full range of motion (correcting the neuropathway). In what seemed to be a miracle, the full range-of-motion came back to my left arm, which I had not been able to move fully away from my body for over 8 months.

I continue to have full range-of-motion in my shoulder and the pain lessens every day. I am both incredulous and grateful that my shoulder movement is restored without having to use drugs, invasive treatments or surgery."

"I have had stomach issues for over 15 years. My regular doctor diagnosed me with chronic constipation and has had me on daily laxatives for 8 years.  I have also had severe period pain every month that has me bedridden at least 2 days each cycle; no amount of pain medicine helps.  The doctors have run all sorts of tests looking for cysts or a reason for me to have this sort of pain, but can’t find anything.  I came to Hill Country Chiropractic to see Cori with little hope of fixing any of these issues but I was tired of the “medical” solutions and very scared of what a daily laxative was going to do to my body as I got older.

After just one month of using the supplements that Cori got for me, my stomach was feeling better.  I came completely off the laxatives, which I never thought possible.  My period pain was a little less severe but still not great.  I told Cori that it was okay, that less severe was great for me but she wasn’t giving up.  Cori then helped me come up with a diet plan and changed my supplements slightly; this was two weeks before my next menstruation cycle.  I sat up the evening before I knew I was to start my period and cried because my daughter had an important event the next day and i knew that in the morning I would have to tell her that I wouldn’t be able to make it, but when I woke up I had no pain.  It’s been three months now and the pain hasn’t returned and I’m still laxative free.

I can’t say enough good things about Cori and Hill Country Chiropractic.  They always work with my schedule and never give up on my symptoms.  When everyone else wanted to brush me off, and even I was ready to give up myself, Cori stepped in.  She let me know that ‘better’ wasn’t good enough and she wouldn’t give up until I felt great." -S

"Dr. Zach, This thank you is for so many things. We are so grateful that you fixed K's back problem. He now has zero pain. We appreciate your flexibility, as many times as I called at the last minute and you saw him with a smile and at 7:30 a.m.  He had a great season - and I know in my heart it never would have happened without you.  Thank you so much for everything." -R., S., & K.

"I was experiencing hip pain and started treatment a few months ago. I can't believe the months of sleepness nights with hip discomfort before going in to see Dr. Zach. And I was taking painkillers for headaches several times a week before Dr. Cori did her magical neck treatments! My insurance covers all but the co-pay." -C.
