Spinal Decompression

Spinal Decompression therapy is an advanced non-surgical technique for treating neck and back pain by applying a distraction force which relieves nerve compression.  Spinal decompression is an FDA approved system of treatment for patients suffering from symptoms caused by herniated or bulged discs and degenerative disorders such as degenerative disc disease and stenosis.

Spinal Decompression provides a safe non-invasive treatment for those suffering from a variety of symptoms such as general back and neck pain or associated radiating symptoms such as leg pain(Sciatica) and arm pain.

Spinal Decompression creates a negative intradiscal pressure to promote repositioning of the disc material whether bulged or herniated and reduces the size of the protruding disc which reduces the nerve pressure and simultaneously allows proper nutrition to infuse into the disc to promote healing.

Spinal Decompression is a non-surgical, non-anesthesia and non-drug process that targets specific areas of your spine to allow proper healing of affected tissues.  Whether your pain is chronic or intermittent, a specific treatment protocol will be derived for each individual to optimize benefits and results.

At Hill Country Chiropractic we do encourage spinal decompression patients to first receive a chiropractic spinal adjustment, as your care may not be as effective due to improper positioning of the spine, not allowing optimal function and healing to take place.

Spinal Decompression therapy is not recommended for pregnant women, patients who have severe osteoporosis, severe obesity or severe nerve damage.  Spinal surgery with instrumentation (screws, metal plates or “cages”)is also contraindicated.  However, spinal decompression therapy after bone fusion or non-fusion surgery, can be performed.

While we have not been able to completely get rid of them, they have helped me learn to control them & have helped me find treatments that lessen the pain. They both truly care about their patients & are always willing to help. Thank you so much Zach & Cori for your awesome service!!!"
